Continental Innovates with Rancher and Kubernetes
Cupertino, Calif – 20th October, 2020 – Rancher Labs, creators of the leading Kubernetes management platform Rancher, is extending its footprint in EMEA with the selection of its first African Platinum Partner, LSD Information Technology. LSD becomes one of only seven Rancher Platinum Partners in EMEA, carefully selected to help drive Kubernetes adoption across the region.
Kubernetes adoption in Africa, India and South America is hastening as companies focus attention, and investment, on digital transformation. By 2025, Gartner predicts that 85 percent of global businesses will be running containers in production, up from 35 percent in 2019. Gartner also predicts widespread adoption of cloud-native applications and infrastructure will prompt the tripling of container management revenues.
Earlier this year, the Platinum Partner Program was rolled out to the EMEA region to meet the growing demand for Kubernetes orchestration technology. The Platinum Partner Program was designed to create opportunities with organizations that specialize in container management platforms to accelerate delivery to customers globally. LSD joins B1 Systems (Germany), SVA (Germany), Conoa (Sweden), Puzzle (Switzerland), Fullstaq (Benelux) and Kloia (UK & Turkey), as the latest to gain Platinum status. Achieving this status shows that a partner has the required skill, experience and knowledge to deploy and work with Rancher technology to drive adoption, growth and innovation in the Rancher ecosystem.
LSD is a natural fit for the role of Rancher Platinum partner based on its intimate understanding of Kubernetes and the cloud native landscape. LSD also offers complementary solutions that work well with Rancher such as their cloud native maturity assessment, public cloud partnerships and fully managed on-premise or cloud container platforms. The achievement comes at an exciting time, as the company is in the process of expanding to the international market and being a remote-first business puts LSD in the position to deliver solutions from anywhere to anywhere, an option that is hugely beneficial in the post-pandemic economy.
Deon Stroebel, Head of Cloud at LSD said: "Rancher enables organizations to manage Kubernetes at scale whether on-premise or in the cloud, providing for a managed and consistently great cloud native experience. As part of the LSDTrip, our accelerator for your cloud native journey, Rancher enables a hybrid and multi-cloud solution that reduces cloud-specific lock-in while still providing all of the critical components like automation, CI/CD, observability and security. LSD is excited to work with a partner like Rancher that is as passionate about cloud-native as we are."
Peter Dalziel, EMEA Director of Partners and Alliances at Rancher Labs said: "Businesses in all sectors, across the African continent, are starting to capitalize on the value of Kubernetes. By building our global Platinum Partner program with regional experts like LSD Information Technology, we can hasten the adoption of Kubernetes and help African businesses become more efficient, agile and innovative."
